Softball, Grand Canyon, and Uncle Panda

Flat Emily Week 17

Yesterday was a happy-sad day. Why you ask? Because it was my last flute lesson with Ms. Fancy! I played softball while we were here and yesterday was my last game, and… We won! 18 to like umm 11? I didn’t hit the ball but I got two runs! Exciting, right? (Oh, for people who don’t know softball, a run means points.) If you don’t know how I got on the base without hitting the ball, it’s because I got four balls… You don’t know what that is. It’s another way to get on the base! You know, if you don’t swing the bat. If you have four balls then you can get on the base. Still don’t understand?! Please just search it up on Google! I can’t use up all my time to explain it to you. Thank you! (Oh and if it sounds mean, *which my brother says it does* I was just kidding. Lol) We are definitely going to Arizona now. I mean, I’m kind of happy? But not really. I’m sad because I always have to leave my friends behind. *Sigh*. Well if we stay for forever, which is likely, I will be able to get a budgie! Here’s a picture of one. So cute! Well I better get going. Ciao!

Flat Etie

Hello guys🤗! We are still in Texas, Pilot Point. But we are moving at the end of April! We are going to Arkansas, Tennessee, Indiana, Kansas, Colorado, Idaho, Utah, and then Arizona. (they are in order when we go there). I also have to tell you about our mission trip to Phoenix, we went with Brad,Sterling ( our pastor), Avery (Sterling’s daughter),Toni, Mark, Kristy, and Deb.We helped a Taiwanese church. We went to apartment complexes and prayed for them with Mark and Laura. They were missionaries in Taiwan for 29 years. We also went to this place called Uncle Pandas and it was sooooooooooo good! We were going to go to the Grand Canyon on the last day but we didn’t. The day before we went to Cottonwood (that is were we will be going when we go to Arizona to plant a church) and then we went to Sedona instead of the Grand Canyon. I will put more on my next  blog post. Bye!

Flat Emily week 14!

We have been back in the US for 2 ½ weeks so maybe we have seen some of you by now!  If not, we will see you soon!  Right at the moment we are in Idaho and Daddy is hoping it will not snow but Winston is.  Sorry I have not got much to write. It’s been a bit hectic since we got here.  We got off in Fort Lauderdale, FL and the humidity was insane! Then we flew to Chicago and then got in the car to drive to IN. So yea the jet lag kind of got us. The birds in Idaho are so pretty like this one! Isn’t it so pretty! Ciao!

Ha det, au revoir, bye, and ciao!!!

P.S I like to bake a lot!  So if you go to Thursday night dinner at church in ID you will have some of my baking!

Blue dress and Bluebells

Name this flower in the comments

Leaving Spain

This week we had a sleepover with our Norwegian friends.  For breakfast we had pancakes and a typical Spanish flatbread sort of thing. Since it stopped raining we have gone to the beach EVERY day! (seriously:)  Today we are having a BBQ at the leader’s pool.  Well it’s a shared pool but they are renting it for the day.  Then it’s our graduation on Saturday and I’m going to wear my blue dress. That is pretty much everything until we leave 😀.  Ciao!

Arriving in Romania

Hey ya’ll!  This week we are getting new experiences like riding the bus, walking home, and doing LOTS of cleaning at the community center.  The last couple of days its been raining but today it is not.(yet)

Hopefully I can get more flowers to plant for a fairy garden sometime.  Some flowers I would like to get are Bluebells, Daisies, Jasmine, Marigold, Primrose, Pussywillow, Snapdragon, Forget me not, and last but not least Columbine.  I also will need a little pond, rocks, shiny rocks, and some other supply’s.  Today we are going to a big strip mall type thing that has a vegan pastry shop.  Also the big store there has the best chocolate with coconut milk 😀. Ciao!!

 FE week 6

Last week we did a lot of different things and I shall tell you about them.  On Monday we got Starbucks and ice cream.  On Tuesday we went to the park that I will tell you more about later.  Wednesday we did a bible study that was super fun. Thursday was just school and Friday was also kind of boring.  Ok, now I will tell you about the park.  It has a zipline type thingy, a super fast slide, a really weird merry go round type thingamabobber, and other playground things.

Lastly, I will tell you a secret, THE ICE CREAM HERE IS SOOOO GOOD!!! Auf Wiedersehen für jetzt!Good bye for now in German.

 FE week 7!

This week we are in Romania!  When we got here it was SNOWING!!!  Soooo fun right?  It was almost everyone’s first time riding on a train. (It was not Kati’s first time)  Another fun thing was that the Norwegains are here. We had not seen them for 3 weeks, 5 days and 8 hours but who’s counting? We all had a snowball fight and we taught them how to play pumpkin.  The only bad thing that happened was that Winston accidentally touched a cacti.  (It must have hurt) Ciao!

Monkeys, Snakes, Camels and Tea!

This week might have been the best week ever!!!!  Can you guess what we did in a country that I can’t tell you the name of right now?  You might not be prepared for this but here we go anyway!  We rode camels, saw cobra* charmers, and cute monkeys. The camel riding was something I thought I would never do.  At the beginning it was a little bit scary but I got used to it.  When I got down off the camel that was more scary.  At the Medina (where we saw the snake charmers) there were a lot of different things there, some interesting and some not.  The best thing there was the juice smoothies (if you go there get orange and pineapple).  P.S. My camel’s name was Cactus!

*Snake

This week we are in a country that I can’t say the name of right now, for a few weeks!  We went camel riding.  We didn’t do it in the desert, it was closer to town.   We were given head scarves to wear and a long shirt while we rode the camels.  There were two really cute baby camels.  I named my camel Desert, sometimes he was a bit stubborn but he liked mom.  Her camel was in front of mine.  After the camel ride we had some tea, I didn’t like it.  Tea is drunk a lot here.  After that we went to the big market called Medina.  There were snake charmers and monkeys that did tricks.  The poor monkeys were in chains and lived in a box.  There were really good smoothies. I got mango and pineapple. They cut them up right in front of us.  There were people everywhere and we almost got run over by motorcycles.  In between the shops was very narrow where we walked and then motorcycles kept driving past and expecting us to get out of their way.  Daddy got  his foot run over!  We also got finger bananas, they were very good.

The end.

Birthday with Flat adventures

This week was my b-day!  It was sooo fun.  We had my party on the beach.  At the party there were a lot of people, snacks, and also gifts too!  My favorite part was that I got sang to in 5 different languages and also the presents too.  Here are all the languages Spanish, Norwegian, German, Hebrew, and boring ole’ English too. The Saturday before that we got to go to a bird sanctuary and get ice cream since they weren’t open on Monday.  On Wednesday we played evangelism games. The last game was super funny so we laughed a bunch.  If you would have been there you would have laughed your head off!  Other than that we have been at home you know doing boring stuff.  Well adios until next week!!happy birthday, cake, candles-308576.jpg

This week was my sister’s birthday! We had a beach party for her.  I went in the ocean and got all wet.  It was really cold. We also went to a bird sanctuary with our friends from Norway.  We saw really cute turtles. We thought they were babies, they were so tiny.   After that we went to a super good ice cream place that has vegan ice cream.  My favorite is mango.   This was the first week we had a teacher come and teach us (just the kids).  She taught us Destiny by Design.  In class we took a quiz to discover our superpowers.  My two superpowers are victorious voice. I encourage others and often say not to give up.  My other super power is a powerful provider. I like to help people by giving to them.  I think that describes me pretty well.  Also we discovered that the things I play now like legos, can relate to my future job.  superhero, pop art, cartoon-2573131.jpg

Flat Adventures Update 2 and 3

Flat Emily

Hi guys, welcome back!  I hope you had a great week.  I sure have!  Have I told you that the bread here is amazing?  Well it is!!!  If you lived in Spain you would pretty much live on bread.   Enough about the bread, I’m here to tell you about the… beach!!!  It is sooo amazing watching the sunset, collecting seashells, and a bunch more.  But could you guess that if you threw bread in the ocean that seagulls and sea ducks would get?  Well maybe the seagulls but sea ducks!  They can dive down and get fish too!

Here’s a picture of it.  It looks so cool and pretty!   Well bye until next week!!

Hola amigos!  This week I’m going to tell you about the Nerja caves.  The caves there are super cool, there’s also a park.  We (as in the group) stayed for 4 hours!  There we played soccer, the floor is lava, and grounders.  The caves are kind of like Mammoth caves but in it’s own way.  The caves have the world’s biggest stalagmite-stalactite.  It has a lot of stalagmites and stalactites.

Flat Etie

Flat Etie and I went to a really fun park close to the caves we explored.  In the caves it was really cool because there were lots of stalactites and stalagmites.  There was a giant column that is 42 meters high and in the Genus Book of World Records.  It is really cool because there used to be cave hyenas. I had no idea there was such a thing! The park was really fun to play tag in and we play tag a lot.  We also played Uno and The Crew(another card game) with the other kids.  We drove Estaban to and from the caves.  He speaks some English so it was good for both of us to practice.

Introducing Flat Adventures!

We would like to introduce you to Flat Emily and Jr. Flat Etie.  They have been traveling with us ever since we left the States.  These two have been on many adventures already with many more surely to come.  We would like to use them as a way for the kids to share some of what is going on and ultimately as a way to share Jesus with others!  Check back for updates.

Flat Emily

Hi! I’m flat Emily.  I have been to countless places like Sweden, Denmark, the US, and now Spain!   When we left for Spain it was very sad saying goodbye to everyone but I made it through without crying.  ( I would have been one wet paper!) The airplane ride was SOOOOO long.  I have never been on one that long( it was 8 hours).  The layovers were very long too! On the car ride to Spain I fell asleep, that’s how tired I was.  The park here is sooo cool!  It has normal park stuff like swings, slides, etc.  But it also has a standing up seesaw, a super cool swing type thing, and a giant bowl swing.

Jr. Flat Etie

Hi my name is jr (flat)Etie my best friend is Winston.  I’m in a school with him.  I love the outdoors and God. I went to a castle, I loved it. We played tag. It was so fun. The plane ride was fun. I like Spain.
